About the Position

As a Senior Frontend Engineer at Landbot, you’ll play a key role in shaping how users interact with our product. This is not just about writing code, it’s about crafting experiences, building systems that scale, and helping evolve our platform to meet tomorrow’s challenges.

  • Write clean, maintainable, and testable code, with simplicity and quality as guiding principles.

  • Collaborate closely with Product and Design teams to deliver exceptional user experiences.

  • Act as a go-to expert in testing, driving a quality-first mindset across the frontend.

  • Build reusable UI components and design systems adaptable to different contexts: web apps, browser extensions, desktop, and mobile applications.

  • Provide technical leadership in design discussions and decisions that impact multiple teams or the company as a whole.

  • Make thoughtful trade-offs between short-term delivery needs and long-term technical health.

  • Document your work rigorously (ADRs, RFCs, postmortems) and share learnings across the org.

  • Stay ahead of industry best practices and bring fresh, practical ideas into the team.

  • Lead by example: mentor teammates, give constructive feedback, and raise the engineering bar.

This role blends hands-on engineering with technical leadership: you’ll be a go-to reference for frontend excellence and help elevate the entire team.

Job requirements

  • Strong expertise in TypeScript, React, Redux, and modern frontend ecosystems

  • Deep experience with testing at all levels: unit, integration, functional, and E2E.

  • Experience building and maintaining complex UIs with reusable components and/or micro-frontends.

  • Strong software engineering fundamentals and ability to simplify complex problems.

  • Experience shipping to production frequently (we deploy multiple times per day).

  • Familiarity with performance optimization and scaling frontend applications.

  • Passion for feedback, learning, and mentoring others to raise engineering standards.

  • Strong collaboration mindset, you value product, design, and cross-team partnerships.

  • (Bonus) Exposure to AI-driven interfaces or curiosity about designing UX for AI-powered features.

  • Fluent in English and Spanish.

  • We require eligibility to work in Spain and are also open to collaboration agreements.

Hiring Process

1️⃣ HR - We know each other, validate culture fit, address your concerns, validate details and experience, and tell you more about Landbot (40 min).

2️⃣ Interview with the Director of Engineering (60 min)- In this stage, you’ll meet our Director of Engineering, who will dive deeper into your experience, ways of working, and technical perspective. The focus is on understanding how you approach challenges, lead solutions, and fit into our team culture. It’s also your opportunity to learn more about our vision, strategy, and where the engineering team is heading.

3️⃣ Technical Interview with the Tech Team (60 min) - You’ll meet members of our tech team to go deeper into your technical experience. We’ll talk through how you approach problem-solving, system design, and architecture decisions, as well as how you collaborate with others to deliver solutions. It’s a two-way conversation, so feel free to ask about our challenges, tech stack, and ways of working.
